Great Lakes Compact (MN, WI, MI)

Forecast Fire Danger for 6-2-15:   Low to moderate

Fire Weather:   Mainly dry conditions are forecast into Tuesday evening.  Showers and storms are then expected to increase over the western half the compact Tuesday night into Wednesday.  The threat of rain will persist over the western Great Lakes through the end of the work week.  The eastern half of the compact will see lower rain chances this week.

 


Big Rivers Compact (IA, MO, IL, IN)

Forecast Fire Danger for 6-2-15:  Low to moderate

Fire Weather:   Mainly dry conditions are forecast into Tuesday night.  Scattered showers and storms are then expected to affect the compact from northwest to southeast Wednesday through the rest of the week.   Iowa is forecast to experience the greatest precipitation coverage and amounts this week with lower precipitation chances and amounts elsewhere.


 

Northeast Compact (NY, MA, CT, RI, VT, NH, ME)

Forecast Fire Danger for 6-2-15: Low to moderate

Fire Weather:  Areas of showers and storms will persist over the eastern half of the compact into Tuesday afternoon with the heaviest rainfall forecast along the coast.  Mainly dry conditions are then forecast into Thursday night.  Additional rainfall is expected to advance through Friday into Friday night.

 


Mid-Atlantic Compact (OH, PA, NJ, DE, MD, WV)

Forecast Fire Danger for 6-2-15:  Low to moderate

Fire Weather:   Areas of showers and storms will persist over the eastern and southern portions of the compact into Tuesday night with the heaviest rainfall forecast along the coast.  Scattered showers and a few storms will linger over the south through the rest of the week with drier conditions forecast over the north.

Fire potential will be low to moderate across the majority of the Eastern Area this forecast period.
