Big Rivers Compact (IA, MO, IL, IN)

Fire Danger: Fire danger was low to moderate.

Fire Weather: Showers and storms are forecast to affect the compact from west to east into Friday evening as a low forms over the Southern Plains and lifts northeast through the Big Rivers.  Strong to severe storms are possible over western and northern Missouri into Wednesday night.  Temperatures will drop to well below normal levels Friday into the weekend behind the low’s cold front.

Northeast Compact (NY, MA, CT, RI, VT, NH, ME)

Fire Danger: Fire danger was mainly moderate to high with one unit in Massachusetts reporting high on 9-30.
