Great Lakes Compact (MN, WI, MI)

Fire Danger: Fire danger was low to moderate.

Fire Weather:  Scattered showers are forecast across the northern and eastern portions of the compact into Monday night.  Gusty northwest winds and low RH levels will elevate fire potential into Monday evening over the southwestern Great Lakes.  Areas of showers and storms are possible across portions of the compact Wednesday into Thursday as a trough of low pressure advances through.  Cooler and mainly dry conditions are then expected Friday into Saturday. 

 

 

Big Rivers Compact (IA, MO, IL, IN)

Fire Danger: Fire danger was low to moderate.

Fire Weather:  Mainly dry conditions are forecast into Tuesday night.  Gusty west to northwest winds and low RH levels will elevate fire potential across the northwestern Big Rivers into Monday evening.  Areas of showers and storms are possible across portions of the compact Wednesday into Friday morning as a trough of low pressure advances through the Great Lakes.  Mainly dry conditions are then expected Friday afternoon into Saturday. 

 

 

Northeast Compact (NY, MA, CT, RI, VT, NH, ME)

Fire Danger: Fire danger was mainly low.

Fire Weather:   Areas of precipitation will continue to advance through New England Metro into Monday evening as a trough of low pressure moves through.  Mainly dry conditions are forecast Tuesday into Wednesday night.  The next chance of precipitation will advance through Thursday into Saturday as a pair of fronts move through the Northeast.

 

 

Mid-Atlantic Compact (OH, PA, NJ, DE, MD, WV)

Fire Danger: Fire danger was low to moderate.

Fire Weather:  Gusty west to northwest winds and low RH levels will affect the south central portions of the compact into Tuesday evening. Areas of precipitation will continue to advance through northern and eastern Mid-Atlantic States into Tuesday evening as a front and then a weak low move through the compact.  Mainly dry conditions are forecast Tuesday night into Thursday morning.  The next chance of precipitation will advance into the through the end of the work week.  

Fuels/Fire Potential

Gusty W-NW winds and low RH levels are expected into Tuesday evening over the south central Mid-Atlantic States elevating fire potential.

Resources

Resources are expected to be adequate across the Eastern Area this forecast period.
